Mr. Clark considers himself to be a cognitive-behavior therapist, but also utilizes interpersonal therapy techniques. He views therapy as a collaborative process. With compassion, understanding, and acceptance he facilitates clients in challenging negative thoughts/beliefs and unproductive behavior. He has successfully helped clients to overcome anxiety, worry, shyness, panic, low self-esteem, depression, co-dependency, and relationship/marital discord. In addition to helping individuals to understand their thinking and beliefs, he helps them to develop the practical tools to meet life’s challenges and to learn to live the lives that they desire. He believes that his role as a therapist is to help clients see that they have options/control over their lives. He believes that people can change: they can learn new ways of thinking and behaving that enable them to have productive relationships and be happy.
